My customized massage is informed by the overall goal of helping my clients slow down, regulate their nervous system, and process the effects of physical and emotional trauma. My technique incorporates several modalities, the primary being myofascial release and neuromuscular therapy.

This is an alternative therapy that has proven to be very effective treatment for a variety of conditions related to the central nervous system, including headaches and migraines, whiplash, concussion, chronic pain, digestive issues, anxiety and depression, PTSD, and more. It is a very still and gentle technique that allows the client to sink into a deeply restful state.

Massage can benefit anyone, but offers particular benefit to people experiencing the physical and psychological changes associated with pregnancy. Massage for pregnancy benefits the endocrine, nervous and circulatory systems which are often adversely affected by pregnancy.

  • Sessions are 30 or 60 minutes and can be in person or online

While some of our pain is primarily physical in origin, some of it has a deeper origin story.  Living under capitalism and systemic oppression takes a toll on our nervous systems as well as our bodies, and can affect the ways we react to everything that we perceive as a threat. Something as simple as the habit of clenching the jaw may have a more emotional root cause. By practicing somatic awareness to process our experience of the world, we can allow ourselves to get “unstuck” from the feelings, habits, and sensations that perpetuate pain in our lives, and move back into our natural rhythm.

I will act as your guide on this one-on-one journey, facilitating your experience of embodiment. I am in process to become a professional track Somatic Experiencing practitioner, and I also draw on my years of experience as a massage therapist and dancer to assist you. We will work to help regulate your nervous system and work through the experiences, feelings and sensations you bring to our sessions. This work can be integrated with cranial sacral work, or can work beautifully as a complement to your regular bodywork sessions.

*Note: I am not a therapist, and while this work is incredibly healing and helpful for processing trauma, it is not appropriate for acute, stand-alone psychiatric care.
